Shand Cycles

Post by simon758 »

What experience does anyone have of Shand Cycles? The 'Stoater' looks like a great all-round machine, especially belt-drive Rohloff. I'd be keen to hear from anyone who has one. Thanks.

Has been acquired by Liberty Cycles.
Hoping to rejuvenate British cycle manufacturing after Brexit.

They refurbished my Colnago Super Piu a few years back. Did a lovely job, recreating transfers where they couldn't get replacements (mine is the ultra rare Tange Ultralight tubed model, no Tange Colnago transfers anywhere). Great bunch of guys, and Steven is still involved in running the business and building the bikes post buy out so unlikely to be any drop off in their quality, which is superb.

Do you mean hoping to grab more profit from not paying anti dumping tax regulated by EU?
