Madison G11 gel comfort saddle - alternatives?
I have a Madison G11 gel saddle which has been recommended in the past as
a supremely comfortable saddle.
IIRC this is the reason that I bought it back in the day.
It certainly seems to suit my bum.
I would like to buy another for a second bike; I know I could switch
saddles between rides but this does seem to be a bit of a pain compared to
having each bike set up permanently.
However, Madison do not seem to make it new at the moment - at least all I
can find with Google is a range of models including G10, 12, 16, 18, 19.
However no G11.
eBay seems to offer one every three to six months, but no luck at the
moment.
So does anyone know the nearest equivalent to the G11 in the Madison
range, or another saddle of equivalent comfort?
Cheers

Wittkop make some interesting comfort saddles. I never tried one though.

Thanks - I will Google them.
I have sent a query to Madison but they say it may take 2 weeks or more to respond.
I am really looking for personal recommendations because that is the way I selected the original saddle many years ago - there are loads of 'comfort' saddles on the market but not all may be supremely comfortable.
It is still a lottery because one size does not fit all.
Oh, should have made clear that I am looking for a synthetic saddle not leather, as I tend towards inspired neglect so I don't want to worry about the saddle getting wet if the bike is left outside for instance.
Cheers

Aldi and Lidl saddles are so cheap you would not lose much buying one on spec. I have one on my off road bike, and it is OK for off road for up to 30 miles or so, much better than the OEM Carrera saddle. A few years after I bought the first I bought an identical one which is standing by as a replacment, as the original is just starting to split around the nose area after about five years use. It has a bit of gel in it but is fairly narrow, but I remember there being wider designs as well last time.
(On my touring and road bikes I have Brooks or Spa leather saddles.)

Returning to this thread, partly because I still haven't replaced my Madison which is now cracking quite badly (but not beyond the capabilities of duct tape to repair) and I'm considering alternatives to the leather saddle on my new Spa (strong suggestions from my bony bum as I type this).
Also, I've just discovered that I have Wittkop Trecking Saddle in the parts bin. Obviously picked it up some time back and never got round to trying it.
So I will test that out on both bikes and then report back.

Happy to take the spa leather saddle off your hands if you so wish if it's a narrow one.

Not planning to part with it, I'm afraid.
I'm experimenting with different saddles but the original saddle will stay with the bike.
