Cycle light holder and bar extender or batter holder - innov

Post by sore thumb »

I was looking for a bar extender for my bike light.

On looking I found these new innovative new products. Don't need to clamp onto your handlebars, it actually fits onto your stem.

But not just any stem mount it has a novel feature that it attaches to your stem bolts. I think this is a really novel way to attach extra lights, computers without taking up your bar space.

I think they are pretty good.

I wasted, IMHO, £16 on one of these. The install video on the website shows the bar flexing under the weight of the light and computer but I put that mainly down to the weight of the torch on the bar. My experience of using it for 10 miles was pretty much the same, the bar bounced too much which can be seen from the light beam moving. It is now in my 'spares' box.

From the pictures there appear to be two different models. The top, black one looks like it would be pretty rigid. The gold, silver and red model looks like it might be too flexible for anything that has much weight.

The different colours are just that, different dips for the anodizing. I bought the black one.

The black one in the pictures is shorter and narrower and can only old one gadget. It would be more rigid.

I bought one that replaced the cap on the Airnimal's handlebars some 5 years ago

Came with a fitting for a pair of lights or a bottle cage

Simple , adjustable and solid as a rock
