Fell off my bike today, glad I had a lid !!

Post by 700c »

Cycling from Asda to home, on a shared pathway ... a toddler decides to run in the way when I'm about 3 feet away (going quite slowly).

Up into the verge, which is at a 45 degree angle.

Thankfully my shopping was OK. If that pot of Jam had not had a lid, there would be been red stuff everywhere...

That was jammy. Without a lid you could have ended up in a sticky situation.

There's even a chance things could have been so bad that you'd have ended up being berried  .

Come on all together now!
He jumped from twenty thousand feet without a parachute,
He jumped from twenty thousand feet without a parachute,
He jumped from twenty thousand feet without a parachute,
And he ain't gonna jump no more!

[Chorus]
Glory glory what a heck of a way to die,
Glory glory what a heck of a way to die,
Glory glory what a heck of a way to die,
And he ain't gonna jump no more!

They scraped him off the tarmac like a dollop of strawberry jam,
They scraped him off the tarmac like a dollop of strawberry jam,
They scraped him off the tarmac like a dollop of strawberry jam,
And he ain't gonna jump no more!

etc. etc.

mind you that's just anecdot, not evidence. I fell off my bike carrying a pan of curry in one hand without a lid and I didn't spill any. I think drink might have been taken

Perhaps you just lost your bottle. Do you have any evidence it was taken from you?
