Misting systems for air conditioners.

I paid $100 for one that was guaranteed to cut my electric bill for air conditioning. A friend had bought one and highly recommended it. It sprays a fine mist into the air which is then drawn into the cooling coils. The water runs through a special filter which, after a few days, coats the cooling coils in a white substance. Leave it to do that through the summer, and the coils will become clogged and ruin the A/C unit. I tried to remove the white stuff with a liquid that removes lime deposits; that didn't work.

I contacted the company three times, and never got an answer, but they kept sending me their emails to buy other products. I have since learned that these misting systems don't do as is claimed.

I like velcro :)

I have a bag of velcro strips from the £ shop that I use to clamp my brakes on the tandem, or for parking the bike with a trailer attached.

I like velcro ... it's lingerie for Hetro males .....

Remote triggers for modern SLR cameras - they are camera-specific, and cost a fortune, compared to the old screw-in cable release.

Polarizing sunglasses.

Not entirely accurate.

I have an inexpensive third party one with interchangeable plug ends that works across all 4 of my DSLRs and does so much more than an old cable release would.

A divorce.

Not mine - but from what I've observed, best avoided. If you can... Everyone loses, except the legal team.
