Can't remember where this one comes from and I may be paraphrasing, however.

If you can not add to the silence, don't break it.
Just remember, when you’re over the hill, you begin to pick up speed.

Touring on a bicycle is a great way to explore and appreciate the countryside and towns you pass through. What do you do to make a difference?

One never gets a second chance to make a first impression

That was used in an advert for shampoo, but is it true? Scientists assert that one evaluates a person in a few seconds :?

"Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Attributed variously, including to George Carlin. May have been mentioned before on this thread, possibly even by me. Applicability to some of the discussions on this forum is a matter for debate.

Two similar quotes:

 Never argue with a fool...

...Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.

...He may be doing the same thing.

The first gets attributed to Mark Twain, I don't know about the second but it might have roots in the Proverbs of Solomon. It seems idiots have been arguing for millennia, so why did anyone bother making the Internet?
