I think you mean "Brassed Off" with Pete Postlethwaite? About a Barnsley Colliery Brass band.Loosely based on the quite famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band.Not a bad film.(I accept it may have had a different title in Europe?)
I must be the only person in Sheffield who has not seen the Full Monty!On Holiday at Lake Garda in 2003 and the lady owner of the on-site shop asked me where in the UK I was from and when I said Sheffield she told me she'd been here for a few days to do the Full Monty Tour.....very strange as it was filmed in some less than desirable parts of the City
