You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear. Oscar Wilde.

When one dies one is released from all cares and troubles and worries, one returns to the state one was in before one was born

Death is release and the end of all misery and suffering, it returns one to the peace one was in before being born

Spurious. As pointed out here, Wilde died in 1900 and had no great opinion of cars.

The automobile was delightful, but, of course, it broke down - they, like all machines, are more wilful than animals - nervous, irritable, strange things: I am going to write an article on 'nerves in the inorganic world.'

"Fancy car" sounds more like a quotation from a 1920s/30s song, or even later.

Eventually we caught up

Lisel Mueller *1924, she moved from Germany to the US in the 1930s
After catching up she took to writing very good poems. In English (American)

I think you mean "Brassed Off" with Pete Postlethwaite? About a Barnsley Colliery Brass band.Loosely based on the quite famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band. Not a bad film.(I accept it may have had a different title in Europe?)
I must be the only person in Sheffield who has not seen the Full Monty! On Holiday at Lake Garda in 2003 and the lady owner of the on-site shop asked me where in the UK I was from and when I said Sheffield she told me she'd been here for a few days to do the Full Monty Tour.....very strange as it was filmed in some less than desirable parts of the City :|

I was at the premiere. Only film I've seen where a lot of the audience stood and clapped and cheered at the end like a theatre crowd.

Uwe-Karsten Heye was spokesman for the Schroeder regime in Germany from 1998

'I thought the job would be like a high-wire act without a safety net, but it was more like a high-wire act without the high-wire', he bleated

Perhaps he could help BoJo with publicity about his domestic disorder :?
