The error is visually very small but quite significant. It's obvious in reality, less so on this Google image.
I'll be impressed if you can see it.

Re: What's wrong with this sign?
Hard to see, but is it dedicated to St 1a and not St Ia?
Re: What's wrong with this sign?
Well done. I think it's obvious in reality but I wasn't sure you could spot it on Google. Bit embarrassing for the sign writer but at least they've got a top patron saint.

St 1a - patron saint of sub-paragraphs?
I used to live in Wivenhoe in North Essex. They have a community bus but the sign writer got it wrong and painted "Communty Bus" on the side.
The bus became affectionately known as the "Munty Bus" and the unusual spelling was kept when the bus was replaced.
Had a look - it even has a web page, and there's now a third generation http://www.wivencyclopedia.org/WTC/Munt ... -dec04.htm

Isn't that just the address of the church? No. 1a, Patron Street?
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.

A 2nd world war airfield near us would have been named Ilse Abbott's but because it looked like 1A it was renamed Merryfield.

Are you sure that's a 1 and not an I?
It doesn't seem clear to me. It depends on the font.
Mind you, it's a strange name being called Ia but she was a lady for the 5th or 6th century or whatever.

The point is that it is supposed to be a capital "L."

Still trying to find a church dedicated to St Rava, patron saint of sportive riders.

Formal address is :
St Ia's Church
15 St Andrew's St, Saint Ives TR26 1AH
I would agree with the St Ia as I am researching a driving rip around Cornwall with historic churches being one of the themes, and this fits with my findings

Is the record of this Saint Private or Public?

Looking for further typographical errors, no doubt.
