Favourite Bike of All Time?
Favourite Bike of All Time?
What's your favourite bike of all time?
Pics, or it didn't happen.
For me it is probably this one...
Klein Attitude Dolomite
I don't even know what I'd do if I saw one on the roads, fall off my own bike probably!
Those Klein frames cost a fortune, like £1,800 in nice condition. Someone is trying to get £8,000 for a fully built up one, with better spec than the original bike.
In 2nd place it's probably this one, just for how bizarre it is, but the above one still beats it by a long way...

Every time I see this, I want one.
Has it got three front wheels?
It hasn't got a rear brake?
The Bob Jackson website doesn't sell a tricycle frame these days that I can tell. I thought being hand made they would cost a lot but they aren't all that expensive, there's just no tricycle on there.
The idea of having really low gearing and not having to worry about going off balance is so tempting. My main worry would be traffic going past it, but when handlebars are 800mm wide anyway, how much wider is it going to be than that at the back, probably not much.
One with disc brakes front and rear would be good but it looks impossible to have it designed that way, you'd be twisting the frame no matter how it was designed, unless even more tubing was added, but even then it would still be dangerous.

I thought Rob Whatsisface's bespoke bike was a thing of beauty.

If I was loaded I'd get one.
I can imagine cornering faster and faster pushing it more and more until I ended up tipping it.
The thought of sitting at lights with both feet on the pedals and both hands on handlebars is crazy.
