There's apparently a report in the Robotics Journal, that some of the robots working in the assembly line at the Nissan car plant in Sunderland, have been functioning less efficiently: placing components innacurately, shuddering and shaking, emitting wheezing noises, and at times going completely idle for long periods of time. Engineers are frantically trying to ascertain whether this is due to a strain of the virus that attacks semiconductors and silicon chips.
