Is there a riveting story coming up?
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.

I suspect "shorts" does not mean short trousers, am I right?

Also, what's a 'bradel"?

If you mean 'bradawl' that makes a huge difference of course.

The following is the truth - no kidding, no embarrassment (at least, not now...)

Following my head injury two years ago, one side-effect was that I was slightly incontinent for some weeks. Highly unpleasant - I wouldn't wish it on anyone! :( I ordered incontinence pads but they didn't work very well. Boy was I relieved (in more than one sense) when the condition went away after the op!

So I'm thinking - no! - the OP's solution sounds far too drastic..... And I hope the OP doesn't have what I had....
