Are you sure,I was under the impression it was they were built newpar Hull and so were named after the Humber river and surrounding area.

Once upon a time, Montélimar = nougat, with a thriving trade selling the stuff to people passing through on holiday, but AIUI, being bypassed by the autoroute has largely killed off that bit of the trade.

Gloster . The company had been called
Gloucestershire but changed the name to make it easier for foreigners!
