No it doesn't. Look at the edges of the stairs and the wall beside it. The cat is going down the stairs.

The cat is dead. It's not going anywhere. I mean, it's in black and white init? Got to be 50 odd years old... ;)

Schrödinger's cat, up to it's usual tricks. Somebody catch it quick and put it back in it's box  .

Definitely going down the stairs

Is he only going down or up the stairs when we're looking at him? Is he possibly tap dancing into a back flip in between...

Schrödinger gets stopped by the police who search his car

Police Officer asks "Did you know there is a cat in your boot?"

Answer 1... " Well I do now"

Answer 2..."Is it alive or dead?"

Heisenberg was stopped by the police for speeding.

Officer: Excuse me sir but do you know how fast you were going
Heisenberg: No officer, but I know where I am.

Down. You can see the overhang of the treads.

A cat going up the stairs uses it's back feet to push up. That cat definitely looks like it's landing on it's front paws, instead of pushing with it back legs.

So... down.

The poll on Imgur is siding strongly with ' going up the stairs ' I think essentially, when I think about our own cats, they're always creeping upstairs in the hope of food or warmth and this has affected my perception!!

There ought to be a range of Schrodinger’s Cat Food. Half the price but with a 50-50 chance of the tin being empty.
