Thanks for the clarification. Yes looking to do this on my wife's hybrid so can get to work without me chauffeuring her - no buses at that time in the morning.

The only kit I know of with torque sensing drive is the Tonsheng TSDZ2 mid drive.

Wisper bikes /amps bikes of Kent produce the very well regarded Wipser torque range which have dual mode, the bike has 4 torque drive sensing levels but in addition has cadence level as well.
David Miall is the boss and they have excellent cs and spares back up.
