Yamaha PW SERIES Motor

Post by Darren7003 »

Hi all. I'm hoping one of you ladies or gents will be able to help me. I have a Haibike sduro hardseven 4.0 with a Yamaha PW Series motor. The motor has completely gone and needs changing. I know it's a fairly easy process so I would like to do it myself but for the life of me I can't fid anywhere that actually sells these motors. Anyone with any ideas please please put me out of my misery and tell me where I can get one. Thanks in advance.

You can't usually buy these motors as they are exchanged under 2yr manufacturer warranty repair.
Go on to Pedelecs uk and member Soundwave although a bit of a lad (aka a very naughty boy) knows about them and I think he knows of a German reseller cost about £700 AFAICR.

Ebike shop will only deal with clients who have purchased their bikes from them, this appears to be their policy. Generally they are not very helpful to third party owners and are very clicky.

I have had good advice and components from these guys in the past....

https://www.adrenalinatv.co.uk/components/drive-unit/

They show the Yamaha PW and PW-X motors as being in stock, though not cheap.

p.s. I have no commercial connection to them other than being a satisfied customer.
