E-Bikes rules/Law
Re: E-Bikes rules/Law
And just when are we going to see closed cycle ways? And how dangerous. 30 mph machines mixing with kids and old ladies etc. Let the mopeds join them as well!

Taz reports that e-mountainbikes are popular in the Alps
Some visitors hired fancy new e-bikes and whizzed up to the Muellnerhoerndl (1253 m)
Going up was easy, but the prospect of cycling down scared them so much, they decided to leave their fancy new machines at the top, and walk down
The machines were recovered by Mountain Re$cu€ , a bill for €565 was issued
Bothy clubs have decided not to offer charging stations for e-bikes in their huts
There is talk of changing the law to prohibit motorised cycles in nature park areas

Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

I thought bothies were very basic even semi-primitive huts in remote places. Do some have mod cons like electricity?

The huts in the Alps are a bit more fancy than bothies
Doubtless they have solar panels for electricity
