What I can do regarding my Flyer battery

Hi, I’m 72 and bought a Flyer C series electric bike second hand about 5 years ago in Spain. I have been told the bike and battery have been discontinued so my problem is I can’t find a battery to fit. It’s a lovely bike but useless to me and can’t even sell it. Can anyone fit a new battery on the rack? Or make a battery to fit? Or have an alternative battery that will fit. Thank you. I live in Chesham, Bucks. Measurements of the battery are 11” length, width 4” and half breadth 3” and half approx.

Contact Jimmy at BGA-reworking for re-celling your existing battery. https://bga-reworking.co.uk/
(I've never used him, but highly recommended on the forum below).

Also post at https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/forums ... ussion.2/; much more active forum with lots of people knowledgeable in details.

Any battery of correct voltage theoretically can be used, but with no specs/details of said battery or system used makes this only theoretical. Supply an old bike link or some pics of the bike, battery and motor controller label.

Did a quick google and discovered this link to a wholesaler with the c series and also details of spec plus a tab for a uk dealer network. Might be of use.....

The Flyer is a nice Swiss brand and quite expensive, if the bike uses CANbus comms protocols then you have to buy the real McCoy Flyer Panasonic battery otherwise you may well brick the system and it will not work at all.
