£1000 bike

Post by DavidN »

Hi, been thinking of getting an ebike for a while, mainly for commuting to work and back so not looking for anything too fancy. I like the look of the carrera e but i have seen a couple of reviews mentioning cut outs (not sure if its the battery or the motor) is this a common failt with this bike ? The riverside 500 from Decathlon looks ok also, any other bikes in that sort if price range i should be looking at ?
Cheers.

All the Halfords bikes with Suntour have been and still seem to be troublesome. Their more upmarket ones are good, but not £1000.
The Riverside is very quiet about what brand/model of motor it has.

Look at bikes from Woosh, Wisper and Juicy. All well recommended for service and spares (most use standard parts). Spares can be a serious issue with ebikes that don't use standard parts.
