Shimano Steps E6000 Display upgrade to E7000

Hi all,

I've got a Shimano E6000 motor but want to upgrade the display to the E7000 display as the E6000 is HUGE and unnecessary.

Has anyone done this before?

I get the feeling I might need to update the controls too as the E6000 have three click buttons rather then the 2 for the E7000.
