Interchangeable battery?

I used to have a Kreidler with an older generation motor and a 400w power pack. Regrettably it was written off but the battery is still good. I now have a Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 50O with a Performance CX Generation motor and a 500w battery. The coupling system for the batteries are different although the plug sockets are the same. I was wondering if it was possible to connect the old battery (as a spare) to the motor via a cable to the charging point on my new bike.

It won't work, bosch systems use CANbus comm's between components. Any part of that system not having the protocols which speak to each other means no go.
