Battery repair

Post by Dibnoid »

Hi

Can anyone recommend battery repair company, or let me know where I can source components?

I have a Haibike Sduro with a Yamaha battery. The battery has a 4 pin connector and one of the pins has snapped so I can no longer charge it.

I found a company on Ebay who offer a repair but its very expensive .

Thanks in advance

Jimmy at ebike batteries (also known as Insat) comes highly recommended on the Pedalecs forum, mainly for recelling batteries.
I've never used him personally.

(example on the forum: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/thread ... ery.27510/ but you'll find lots more on a search there)

A bit late to this Jimmy can't repair and Yamaha won't, they want you to buy a new battery and charger.
However if you go over to pedelecs forum user Georgehenry had the same issue about 3 years ago and he and his telecom engineer repaired it( after Yamaha said bin it), GH as recently given an update and the battery now in to it's sixth year has covered some 13k miles with it now and still going strong.
