A point of principle might well be worth stating more than once Especially as "The Organisation" appear to be abandoning theirs with this needless and pointless rule change. Needless as the extra funds gained is surely not that great and pointless as they have shot themselves in the foot by losing some members without any gain of new ones.

Go read Mick F's previous posts, he isn't leaving on a matter of principal. He's leaving because for what he wants it doesn't represent good value, that has nothing to do with his age.

I stopped being a member after the charity conversion. I rejoined a couple of years ago just for the 3rd party insurance (BC is pro-helmet so won't see any of my money). The rebranding is awful* and the magazine is barely worth a flick through but I cling to the hope that the campaigning might be useful.

*I'm amazed Macmillan didn't sue

I returned my membership card this week, so I’ve left now too. I’m going to take out the Wiggle Insurance for £24 per year, it will be fine for me. I used to enjoy reading the touring articles in the magazine but now there aren’t many of them. The magazine has become more a women’s magazine and I’m a women, so not being sexist, I just think cyclists are cyclists and don’t have to be divided. The magazine tries to be too broad and I personally don’t think that works. There is so much information online now, about all kinds of cycling and it’s all free.
