Chris Boardman’s got it wrong: cycling on British roads has never [!?] been safer

Somebody who by their own admission rides in a city where the average speed of traffic is low, already has a relatively large number of cyclists, and is the only place in the country to have had any investment in infrastructure, feels that cycling is not too dangerous. Of course their views don't reflect those of people riding elsewhere.

Ask your friends and neighbours whether they're happy to let their kids cycle to school every day, and if not, why not.

Because, regardless of what Chris Boardman says and whether or not you agree with it, that question asked of everyone across the country gives the answer, and explains why the UK doesn't look like this.
