The signs are not good, particularly with regard to learning from Europe.

I'll not be holding my breath, but this might suggest that all isn't lost quite yet. I'm glad to see that CUK are at least raising the issue, even if I'm not particularly optimistic of a good outcome for UK cyclists.

From the CyclingUK submission in Wanlock Dod's intersting link:

2. About Cycling UK

2.1 Cycling UK has championed the cause of cycling for well over a century. We promote all forms of cycling, protect the interests of existing and would-be cyclists, and inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the joys of cycling.

2.2 As an independent, democratic and expert organisation, our activities reflect the commitment of our members, volunteers and partners to make cycling mainstream, making a lasting difference to the lives of individuals and communities.

(My emphasis.)

Anyway, that's enough about them; the rest of the submission doesn't seem to say much beyond what appears obvious but is prolix, even by my standards
