Bournemouth Council have just installed a couple of these signs near the town centre.
During my time touring in Spain I saw plenty of signs like this and got a lot of space from cars .
I've never seen this sort of thing in the UK until now.
Let's hope it's the sign of things to come !
I've emailed Bournemouth council to thank them and to encourage them to do more.
I've also emailed the neighbouring council of Poole to ask them to follow suit.
Maybe other CTC ( yes, I still call it that ) members could do the same in their area.
it's all about awareness.

They had similar up near Arnside / Silverdale area for a year or two. Welsh constabulary paid to put similar on the back of parking meter stickers for carparks in North Wales in the Llynn peninsula about 3-4 years ago.
Great but does a sign mean anything will change?

Lots of those around here, usually where they'll be hidden by trees.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

It's a lot better than the signs they've put up in Bristol "cyclists, be seen!"
"Car drivers look where you're going" is at least directed at those who need to do the looking
