Not a police matter?

Post by thirdcrank »

Once upon a time the phrase "We shouldn't be doing insurance companies' work for them" was part of the stock-in-trade of those seen as neglect merchants, but it seems it's now the norm. Report here of a spectacular bus crash in 2015, no other vehicle involved but it appears the top of the bus was ripped off when it hit a tree branch. A passenger upstairs at the front of the bus was seriously injured when the bus was thus unexpectedly converted into one of those open-topped tourist jobbies. So far so good, but the BBC report includes this gem:

(The casualty's) solicitors, Irwin Mitchell, found CCTV from moments before the crash, showing the bus driver holding a map with both hands instead of the steering wheel.

The double-deckers in Oxford are (or were) not as high as normal so they fitted under the Botley Road railway bridge
Entertainer, juvenile, curmudgeon, PoB, 30120
Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott
