Nope: Peter Kyle is MP for Hove and Portslade, which is where the relevant bit of road lies. Not that it's really a matter for an MP...

Given that injuries to cyclists have doubled on the section of Old Shoreham Road to the east since the cycle lanes were put in in 2012 ...
Is there a petition to oppose it?

If this attracts a far greater volume of pedlars,it could yield the anomoly you identify.

No anomoly - that is exactly what you would expect to see where a cycle path crosses lots of junctions.

Since the path in in the Brighton area, i must ask .... is it LGBTQ+ friendly ... ? ....
