The future of roads policing consultation

Post by squeaker »

Not looked at it (future methods to improve safety and reduce casualties) yet, mainly because I didn't know about it
Has it been flagged anywhere? My initial response will probably along the lines of 'what roads policing?' :?

It's the first time I've seen the consultation stuff in your link, which also mentions that the consultation is in response to a recent pathetic report by the police inspectorate. Clue: safety = casualty reduction. Intellectually bankrupt. Vulnerable road users = motorcyclists and younger drivers (because they are most likely to become casualties.)

IMO the future of "roads policing" is a really important subject for road users in general and cyclists in particular. Unfortunately, it hardly seems possible but your thread has attracted even less interest than the earlier thread to which I linked.

I thought that the previous Subject was better... and would help me find it.

Could it be that no one has any faith in anything to do with government consultations?
