But it is a bit of a contradiction in terms to have the words 'Great' and 'UK cycling infrastructure' in the same sentence. I can see some imbalance too as Cambridge has about 4 entries and Oxford only 1. Oxford also has some nice cycle routes by the river. I am unsure about including Fendon Road roundabout in Cranebridge as time may not show it has a good safety record.
I am very pleased to see Stevenage in there. Overall the tragedy is that with some effort and investment many of these routes could be transformed from just OK to excellent.
An even better competition would be UK .vs. NL. This would show how far we need to go to be 'Great'.

The entries were based purely on nominations in response to his thread on twitter on the matter. Which is where the voting also is. It's not meant to be serious, hence the variable quality!
