This has been discussed on several threads but I thought I'd start a new one for this.
Operation Snap is a national campaign - probably with plenty of variations in different forces - to encourage the submission of dashcam and similar footage with a view to taking action against bad driving.
There's a media release in the Yorkshire Post recently and I think we may see more across the country.
https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/cr ... ay-3142614
The main example highlighted is of a driver crossing a central reservation to overtake a slow-moving queue into the face of oncoming traffic on the other carriageway.
There are no detailed results of investigations, just "including" this-and-that, so nothing specific about this case.
IMO it would be interesting to hear of any similar media releases elsewhere.

Re: Operation Snap
Has this included an attempt to develop a consistent or minimum response to submitted videos by all police forces/ prosecutors?
Thanks

I remain of the opinion that we, as animals, were never designed * to have to deal with the sheer overwhelming & colossal quantity of information that rains down on us all from all directions... for us, more is indeed less. We don't know how to process it all and chaos reigns. It will be the death of us all.
* figuratively, natch.
