No, they have 'no cycling' signs for the road.

Information provided,
https://www.firstfence.co.uk/2-0m-high- ... zMEALw_wcB
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humber_BridgeThe Humber Bridge Board is not a Public Authority within Schedule 1 and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
reply from Humber Bridge officePlans were announced on 26 December 2009 to construct a suicide barrier along the walkways of the bridge; design constraints were cited as the reason for not installing barriers during the construction of the bridge.[34]
I suspect something like school fencing may be less subject to high winds, could be lighter/cheaper and may deter to a limited extent. May be worth investigating. Modification to standard design may provide a feasible option. Ice build up could be a problem also, does this happen with school fencing? The barriers were provided as part of a trial and installed on the fixed bridge approach to the suspension bridge. A review of the trial highlighted that this type of barrier may result in increased wind on the main suspension bridge and therefore was not progressed.

School fencing eh?
What's happened to the world?
Primary school, we had stone walls maybe 3ft high. We often used to climb on them and sit on the top.
Secondary school we had a hedge at the front by the road, and nothing other than woodlands to the rear.

ONS figures are now available up to July 2020:Jdsk wrote: ↑8 May 2021, 3:47pmThere has been enormous concern about the effect of the outbreak on suicide, self-harm and mental health.Steady rider wrote: ↑8 May 2021, 3:43pm https://www.theguardian.com/society/202 ... s-covid-19The pandemic may have contributed.Among men, the area with the highest rate was Yorkshire and the Humber at 20.6 per 100,000, followed by the south-west at 19.4. London recorded the lowest rate with 11.8.
The area with the highest female suicide rate was also Yorkshire and the Humber at 7.3 per 100,000, while the north-east had the lowest rate among women at 4.1.
The available evidence for England (and several other countries) does not show an increase in suicides:

"This is the first assessment of suicides in England and Wales, based on official death registrations, that occurred during the early months of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, until now not feasible because of death registration delays.
"1,603 suicides occurred between April and July 2020 in England and Wales, the most complete period because of the late registration of deaths, equivalent to an age-standardised mortality rate of 9.2 deaths per 100,000 people; this rate is statistically significantly lower than rates for the same period in the previous three years, however, is statistically similar to the rate in 2016."

Thanks for the update.
April 2020 was a good month for weather, perhaps this helps.

It needs to be cycle-friendly from the outset, not as some sort of half-baked add-on

The chance of it ever existing at all is far too small to be worried about any detailed design features.

Didn’t stop BJ blowing £80 million on a garden bridge which was never built. Whenever these nonsense stories appear we have to look around and think what else is going on.Pete Owens wrote: ↑8 Feb 2022, 8:53pm The chance of it ever existing at all is far too small to be worried about any detailed design features.
