Kirkbymoorside Crowdfunder for A170 verge path

Post by Steady rider »

Message from Ryedale
Dear Friends and contacts,

Please support and share my Crowdfunder for a section of A170 verge path, segregated for cyclists and pedestrians. It will be around 800m long, leading West from outside Kirkbymoorside Primary School to the first Kirkdale junction. It is the first section of what will be a safe cycling route from Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley to Ryedale School, also connecting the communities of Nawton and Beadlam, and joining the two market towns.

It is just a start, because Ryedale needs lots of safer paths for walking and cycling. But it is really great to have made a start.

Please SUPPORT and SHARE; together we are the power of Crowdfunder.

Thanks very much,

Helen Gundry

Great stuff, thanks. I was brought up in Kirkbymoorside and remember cycling and riding my horse along that footpath

Pledged some money. Good luck to them

I look forward to a crowdfunding appeal for new roads.

Like these.
18 new roads move a step closer to completion

A first wave of funding announced which will enable 18 new road schemes to move on to the next stage of development.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/18-n ... completion

But for some reason these schemes, though hugely more expensive, do not need such an appeal.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Perhaps 10% of all road building funding should go on separate cycle paths, built to standards, were possible.
