The Cycle-rail forum for the North is collecting data about the number of bikes being carried on trains in this post-pandemic world. You can use this form to record your sightings -

Obviously we are most interested in rail services in the North of England but you can record journeys anywhere in the North of England and we can pass on information to the DfT. one thing though - please don’t use it as a means to rant about the terrible bike provision on the Hitachi 800 series trains, we know it’s crap and we take every opportunity to tell the operators of these trains and the DfT this. Thanks for your help!

Please note that Firefox does not allow the recording form to load as it uses an xframe. Please talk to your website admin to resolve. Yes this needs redesigning.
Also don't ignore potential use as opposed to actual use
