Write to Bev Hughes!

Postby chiefsub68 » 11 Nov 2005, 1:47pm

Listers may like to see the comments of Children's Minister Beverley Hughes earlier this week. Speaking on the launch of Road Safety Week, she said: "Every death of a child on our roads is one death too many. I am personally committed to enabling our children to walk and cycle in safety.

"It has all sorts of benefits for children's health and development."

Alastair Darling, are you listening?

The roads of the UK are like a battle field
What is the comparison with a year in Iraq recently? As many deaths or twice as many
or something?

"Every death of a child on our roads is one death too many" says Bev.

Oh well! We might as well wrap 'em in cotton wool and forbid them from leaving the house then.

This attitude is why children get driven everywhere, are obese at the age of seven and will die from bad circulation at the age of thirty.

That's OK as long as one doesn't die on the road.

Compared with 150 years ago when quite a few of them died working in the mines... and in South America still do.

The minister's business is everything to do with
lies!damn lies... and statistics! promoting obesity and sickness in everybody.
