Watching CBBC Kid's TV at 8.20 today, as you do (OK, I got a phone call!), was a breath of fresh air. Scenes of cycling at Herne Hill track, and at the Manchester Velodrome; the scenario was for Dick & Dom (who?) to familiarise themselves with cycling as a sport, then to commentate on BBC 5Live during the Commonwealth Games. Viewing Kids saw some real cyclists, winners of medals and world championships. They saw something of the range of competitive events, the bikes and techniques involved. And they saw the media coverage of cycling in a totally positive light. Great Stuff!
