But then they are almost everywhere you turn now.

Our local hospital has one in there ***(which replaced the WRVS cafe  ) and not 50 metres away the local petrol station cum carwash is an outlet for them too.

*** Probably an appropriate location as I reckon Costa coffee tastes of disinfectant.

There is one in the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. But for those "in the know" there is a much cheaper staff cafe upstairs which serves anyone.

I was up in the Garw Valley doing a strenuous hilly 6 mile walk yesterday. A combination of forestry track and shared use path. It was magnificent. From the friendly former coal mining communities in the valley bottom to the high plateau of conifer forest, it was so peaceful and scenic. But where were the bikes? Practically the whole route was open to MTBs, but we were passed by only one group of cyclists, a family of four on the valley bottom shared use path. It made me think that an MTB (I've never had one) might be a good thing to have. The two and a half mile descent through the forestry would have been a quick affair on two wheels!

Cardiff is how 95% of locals prefer to spell it, Bryn.

As I posted before - did Lon Las Cymru - Holyhead to Chepstow in May and it was fantastic. Wonderful route, weather, campsites, people.
And the quality of the road and cycleway surfaces was amazing! I barely saw a pothole.

Maybe "a positive thread" and "we love Wales" could be merged, they are almost indistinguishable

Should I be proud that Sir David Brailsford was brought up in Deiniolen and speaks Welsh?

Been singing again
Maybe today could be a sort of second unofficial Welsh national holiday :D

"We" just won the Tour de France

The Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans is great but why just one big museum right at the bottom of Wales? It should be at the top

It would have been better to have three smaller museums, one in the middle and one at the top

Having just one site probably saves a bit on mileage payments, mind :?

The Victorian Week is on now at Llandrindod Wells, there was a parade of vintage cycles too

I remember a tivi programme about it, a lady turned up in bathing costume
"I thought it was Llandudno!" she whimpered
There is a lake in Llandrindod too, but there is a huge dragon (afanc?) sculpture in the middle, I would not swim there

+1 for the Heart of Wales!

Isn't virtually everything centred on and around Cardiff :?

The recently opened Photographic Museum could just as well have opened in Aberystwyth, but no, stuck in the capital again.

St Fagans goes back a long way, 1950s or something like that, so questioning its location is a bit pointless. It ain't moving. It is where it is. And breaking it up into smaller bits to redistribute would be an act of vandalism. It is one of the great treasures of Wales. North Wales has its own treasures, such as the mountains of Snowdonia. They aren't going anywhere either.

I wasn't actually questioning the validity of St.Fagans, I was just replying to Brynpoeth's posting.
I actually love St.Fagans and have been visiting for over 40 years and am perfectly happy with its location. :)

I just think some facilities could be dotted around the country a bit more.
