'Cyclist' or 'person on a bike', there is no difference. They are both road users and should respect the rules of the road and other road users.
I am just as frustrated and annoyed by inconsiderate cycling as I am by similar car/van/lorry/bus driving. The only real difference as far as I am concerned is the potential to kill or maim others which is massively higher in the case of the bad driver.
I like a good moan, but...

Maybe there should be a recommended daily commutable by bike distance, so when people argue against a ban, the judge says, but you only need to travel 40 miles per day, on yer bike! Or when people get points on their licence, part of the forms they have to sign, include a declaration stating that they understand that they will receive a driving ban upon reaching 12 points and will have no right of appeal.
