Anecdotal evidence is notoriously unreliable, but Mrs. M-k swears that traffic gave her a wider berth than usual as she cycled home today. I can't imagine why…

Maybe she should have worn bright socks in different colours, that would have been even better

Mind, some busybody might have reported her to the Fashion Police

You should conduct your own study, if she'll let you borrow them. Maybe because they're unique, people pay more attention then just noticing, then forgetting, the presence of a cyclist.

Saw a truck driver at work in camouflage green with a hi-vis vest on top, that might be the best compromise

I saw a chap a while ago cycling with one left leg warmer yellow and the right red,and opposite side red and yellow arm warmers.
Anyone who claims they didn't see him are blind or daft,he stood out like a sore thumb.

Maybe start doing jerseys like the goalkeeping ones from the early 90's. Although I think some of the old pro team jerseys were similar.

Thanks - I'd forgotten all about Sock Shop. They used to be in the High Street but came to grief like so many others.
