Cyclist. This one has been doing the rounds quite a bit recently.

It's almost, cyclist changes lane, without signalling, into side of lorry, that was already there. The cyclist with the camera, and the woman in high vis on the far left, both appear to hang back and wait for the lorry, the other cyclists in front speed off to pull away in front of the lorry.
It would be interesting to know if the cyclist still thinks he was in the right, after seeing the video and having had some time to calm down after almost dying.

The cyclist at the beginning of the footage is a wanna be organ donor, trying to overtake a car up the inside as the road narrows, head glued straight ahead.

The cyclist who was nearly knocked off was in a left only lane and wrongly and illegally went straight on.
The lorry driver was in the right and was doing nothing wrong,that said if he saw cyclists on his nearside it would've been safer for them to let them get in front of his truck.
By the same token the cycling displayed by the cyclists in front of the camera bike in that video was stupid and dangerous.
What's worse the cameraman and cyclist who was nearly knocked off appeared to think they'd done nothing wrong

The cammer was blaming lack of infra and stated that the cyclists are quicker than the vehicles (failing to understand that cycles are vehicles)
This is typical London cyclists, massive impatience and MGIF alined with really out of order road traffic infringement that put oneself in harms way and also obstructed another road user because of the MGIF attitude
If the vehicle in front is slower, wait for an opportune and safe point to overtake (or filter), what is happening here is total insanity.

I saw this one last week on Twit, didn't follow the comments to idiot cyclist but followed the argument , 'is it a mandatory turn left lane?" Consensus was it isn't mandatory but if you find yourself in it wanting to go straight on then you have to filter into the other lane.

As someone who sometimes drives bigish vehicles (but not that big) I would have been annoyed at finding the cyclist going straight on from a turn left lane, but I would have been watching for that and I would have done what was necessary to avoid a collision. I just wonder if the driver was confused by having so many cyclists around him and just lost sight of that individual. As a cyclist I hope I would have had the good sense to avoid putting myself in that danger zone.

Does he not realise that's the drivers blind spot? Even if the situation was different and the cyclist genuinely had priority, that's a suicidal position to take in relation to a lorry.

IIRC, the recommendation in "Cyclecraft" is to use the left turn lane to go straight on, that being preferable to allowing a motorist to use it to overtake you on the left. It's one "Cyclecraft" recommendation I think is wrong, because the difficulty of rejoining the traffic stream in the straight on lane is greater than avoiding the odd idiot who passes on the left.

And it creates a situation in which a grumpy motorist might take the view that you should not be going straight on and he/she will not let you in.
