With the impending Waterloo upgrade in August, I was thinking about cycling from home all the way into the City of London occasionally.
Can anyone recommend a route from or around Woking to the City?
Thanks in advance,
Jatinder

I don't know if it's too far out of your way, but from the far end of Staines to Brentford, there's a pretty good cycle track along the A30 and A4.

Back in the 90s, when I used to do this my variations on the route always included cycling through :-
Battersea Park
Richmond Park
Main variations were :-
a) Kingston-upon-thames -> Esher -> Cobham -> Woking
OR
b) Kingston-upon-thames -> Shepperton -> Chertsey -> Woking
Finding a tolerable route through/around Wandsworth was always challenging, using side roads north or south of the A3 along the West Hill section over to Putney Heath.
Good Luck
