Altura Night Vision windproof alternatives

Post by ratherbeintobago »

Above jacket very tired and was going to replace like for like, but they appear to have stopped doing them.

Any other recommendations?

The problem with recommending anything that has been good and has stood the test of time is that manufacturers trade on the reputable name but change the specs and materials to produce a cheaper product.
I still have and use my original Altura Nevis jacket which must be about fifteen years old. l got a replacement when the colour started to fade but the new one was nothing like the original. It was poor quality material and didn't have pit zips. It was a rubbish jacket.

I'll have a look at that, though it is pretty eye-searing.

The nice thing about the red NV jacket was that it was bright enough...

Difficult to beat showerspass quality, though I appreciate they are a bit of a price. I just compare it to filling up a car with petrol. :D
