Hi,
My first post here.
Anyone able to give me a value on this bike I bought from my mate two months ago to get me into cycling.
Kinesis Racelight R 7005 Series Frame
Kinesis carbon 3 fork
Shinamo tiagra 9 speed group set ( no idea on the cassette etc)
Campagnolo Vento G3 wheels
Ritchey stem
Literally have no idea about any of the other specs of the bike.
But as I'm getting more into cycling it's starting to feel smaller compared to a few other road bikes I've used.
I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly bog brush using hovercraft full of eels
What's it worth
Re: What's it worth
It's worth putting more links in that chain!

goodness me, at least two links!
And throw away those bars, look how deep are they, worst thing for someone that's starting on such bike, put some compact and shallow bars, so to keep them in a more appropriate position: the bottom should be only slightly angled from the ground, not 45º as it's now
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...

As mentioned the chain could do to be replaced.
Value? £50?
I don't recognise the logo on your fork. Check here for peace of mind?

I do recognize that logo, it's old but the bike looks in good nick. The wheels are good, and so seems the groupset.
Given the short headtube is not perfect for someone new to road bikes, but with the stem flipped up and some compact bars should do, if the price paid was fair.

Re: What's it worth
£50-£150 as it really depends on condition/frame with no damage. it's a reasonably decent alu frame and cf forks. If the running gear is all working/not worn and wheels in good order/braking surfaces not worn then you should expect the upper end. If the frame has damage and/or the components worn you'll struggle to get £50
As is usual with bikes the sum is probably less than if sold seperately.
Problem is that you can buy a brand new bike of a not too shoddy spec for circa £400

Depends why you want it to value it, as with anything it is only worth what anyone is prepared to pay. do you think your mate overcharged you? Looks a decent bike, shame about the chain, definitely needs sorting that changer should be nearer vertical than horizontal.
If you enjoy riding it and it gets you back into road biking then it's worth is far more than monetary.

Do you know the frame size? How tall are you/inside leg? Where in the world are you?
