Riding in the dark

I absolutely love it! WInter is the time for long off-road rides. However I use a singlespeed to keep things simple and reliable so don't have the gear selection issues. I found that with lights below the brightest setting I am more dark-adapted and retain more peripheral vision than on maximum.

I always ride the same routes to and from work in the dark so no real worries. Got two front lights, one flashing and same at the back, seems to work fine and no real issues.
