Not going into great detail but I really hope that Liam's mum can harness the power to forgive because having been through a similar experience I know that it helped me and my family.

This sentence is beyond a disgrace. I hope there is an appeal against it.

The sentence for the girlfriend, whose car it was and who then drove a friend home before going home herself in the damaged car, is also disgusting.

8 weeks suspended sentence, 12 month ban, £300 fine, £85 costs and must take part in a 10 day rehabilitation program and a 3 month curfew.
