Pothole Free Commute

Some good news for a change.

Following a few weeks of roadworks my local road has a brand new smooth tarmac surface. Other parts of my route to work have also been renewed recently so after clearing the pothole reports (about 100!) from fill-that-hole I realised that I have an entirely pothole free commute. You could probably spot my route to work by zooming in on Warrington on the fill-that-hole map and following the line of green flags.

Just out of curiosity, any idea if it has made your commute faster?

I haven't the foggiest - I don't time it. In any case any change in speed would be insignificant compared to whether the traffic lights are green when I arrive.

A local half mile long lane has for many years been subject to many potholes/fillings/potholes ad infinitum. In March this year the council marked and numbered 60 which were "repaired".

About 2 months ago they completely resurfaced it so at the moment it's as smooth as a billiard table. Just hope that they made a better job of this than the earlier bodged repairs.
