Hi,
I know the view well, there is another carpark sorta behind that view on the right, limped here in the camper after a short Holliday south of the border, driveshaft melted :(

On the map there lots going on with stone rows cairns etc and that shot is boundry stones? burrator boundry?, the shape is right, but on the left is a shorter round top stone which will be a Mile stone?, one on the map.

When you start to look there are so many stones on Dartmoor, placed by man, no other place in the country is so rich with stone artifacts than Dartmoor?
On top of sharpitor is was a cold war bunker? You can still see the entrance but filled in.

Can't remember what is written on them, and the Google Streetview from the other direction has the sun on the lens.
They are demarcations of the Burrator Reservoir watershed. There's a date on them, and an abbreviation ............ PDWC?
Plymouth District Water Company? Something like that.

Rubbish weather today for riding up there to check!
