Hi
Have the chance of a last minute ride tomorrow from Bradford to derby via peaks.
However most roads go east - west and not north - south.
Anyone know the best route to go avoiding Sheffield.
Hills are a bonus.
Leaving at 6am and got till 6pm then train home with daughter. (Not riding)
Cheers James

Re: Route from Huddersfield to derby via peaks.
I'd head for Langsett then the the Strines road to the Hope valley.
From there south to Ashbourne, all the minor roads are both fabulous and generally very hilly, you can't really go wrong. Major roads are generally pretty busy but much less strenuous and ok for a bale out if needed.
Don't know from Ashbirne to Derby.
Have fun!
