Keep outwith the Door Zone!

Post by Cyril Haearn »

When passing vehicles I keep outwith the Door Zone
Sometimes PoBs are so stupid to try to undertake on the inside, how might one deal with them?

Had to ring my bell and prepare to brake/steer yesterday when a moturd flung a dog open

Glad I am retiring soon, hope not to cycle in town at all then :?

Person on bike - a term used to disown some cyclists.

Moturd - a crap motorist.

Half right :?
Cyclists are PoBs too, I do not mean that negatively, not disown, no no
Moturd: typical/majority driver, cannae read a STOP sign for example
..
Come to think of it, we do need a term for stupid cyclists who undertake
Come to think of it, a suitable word has already been suggested: cyclard :?

Trouble is, when one keeps 2m from parked vehicles, there is room to undertake, often less room to overtake

If you're keeping out of the door zone why did you need to prepare to brake / steer?

I too ride out from the door zone and far enough so if a door does get thrown open I don't need to do anything (other than shout "watchit" as I scoot past).

Reaction without thinking, it was a narrow cycleway right by the road on the wrong side, have to go slowly there too
