Anyone know what's going on round Failand and Wraxall today? Open road event, riders wearing numbers?

Started down (in the car, for the first time this week #smug) to take my daughter to orchestra PR active and thought there's a lot of cyclists. Then noticed a bloke with a vuvuzuela (sp? Those Mexican horn things) and lots of high viz and clipboards.

Followed a cyclist down the hill, she had a number on, then saw lots more coming up.

I just slowed right down, kept my distance, but I was getting a bad vibe from the SUVs tailgating me.

I stopped by a group at the bottom of the hill, just before the crossroads, and asked was it a open road event or had I missed a sign - they said it was definitely open road.

They'd wrapped it all up by lunchtime.
